This 490 Plus® Nomex cloth covered grid plate is used and recommended as original equipment by leading dry cleaning pressing machine manufacturers. The 490 Plus® cloth is the only cloth in the industry with PTFE impregnated into the Nomex, providing the highest quality garment finishing with less shine and fewer texture marks. Lab Safe
This PTFE coated grid plate is recommended for dry cleaning and laundry operations finishing linens, cottons, and many other fabrics that require maximum heat. There is about a 60 to 80 degree difference in temperature between our 490 Plus® and Lab Safe Grid Plate. The Lab Safe Grid Plate has a heavy PTFE baked finish for the best finish possible. Ideal for laundry and dry cleaning pressing machines requiring maximum heat transfer.

This pressing machine grid plate uses our 490 Plus Nomex material along with a pile layer between the outer cloth and inner plate. Excellent for dry cleaning operations finishing delicate fabrics that need a soft press with no leave-off marks.

Grid Plate Composition
The picture to the right is a great example of one of the many things we focus on to distinguish our dry cleaning grid plates from the competition. Out of the three metal samples, two are from our competitors and one is from a Lab Test grid plate. While larger perforated holes are cheaper to source, we have our aluminum custom perforated to increase steam diffusion and reduce nickel markings that may result from a lower quality pressing machine grid plate.
